The Art of Storybooks
This is a mixed media bookmaking class. After looking at some of our favorite picture books, we will then create our own books using the illustrator's style.
Wednesdays 2:30-3:30 Ages 5-10 Tuition $50/five weeks March 17-April 14
Instructor: Leah Cross
Tales Alive!
We will begin with a classic folk or fairytale and then young actors will give it life, through using costumes, props, emotions, movement, dialogue and music.
Thursdays 3:30-4:30 Ages 4-6 Tuition $50/five weeks March 18-April 15

There is a 10% sibling discount available.
Tuition payments should be made on or before the first class day.
Teacher Biographical Notes..
Carrie Morris - Yoga
Carrie has her certification from Childlight Yoga as a children's yoga instructor and a BFA in Art Education from UMASS. She has taught in many settings - summer camp, afterschool programs - and right here at The Schoolhouse as an art teacher for ASA.
Leah Cross - Art of Storybooks
Leah is a professional artist living and working on Munjoy Hill, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from UMass, Amherst. She has taught at A Company of Girls and here at The Schoolhouse for the After School Arts Program.
Erica Thompson - Tales Alive!
Erica has been a professional actress since the age of seven. She has a BS in Performing Arts Education and has studied at Neighborhood Playhouse and HB Studios in New York. Erica has directed and produced children's productions for over thirty years, and taught acting workshops (Children's Theatre of Maine; Company of Girls) for even longer than that.
Students must preregister for classes for planning purposes.
