Our arts and language based curriculum is a balance of developmentally appropriate learning activities for children ages three to six. At The Schoolhouse, the Arts are acknowledged as both a resource and a teaching tool. We believe in an educational blend of both traditional and alternative influences. We draw from Montessori, Waldorf, and Reggio Emilia educational approaches in our school.

 

Studies are interdisciplinary at The Schoolhouse. Math, Natural Science, Language Arts, and Multicultural themes are all explored through music, dance, sign language, drama, art, crafts, folktales, and cooking.

 

This is a place where observation and discovery are celebrated as is the joy of self-expression - and the pleasure that comes from sharing it with our classmates!
